Overview
After Helvea's integration into Baader Bank, the two firms jointly produced equity research covering more than 200 companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Baader Helvea ranked first for German equity sales and trading/execution in the 2015 and 2016 Extel surveys. As of 2026, Baader Bank markets its research to companies seeking capital as well as to investors, and Baader Helvea says research production has been consolidated in Paris.
Helvea, a Geneva-based broker founded by Patrick Rosenberg, was the largest independent Swiss equities broker when Baader Bank agreed to buy it in November 2012; the acquisition closed in August 2013 and integration finished in 2014. The Helvea companies were later renamed Baader Helvea AG, Baader Helvea Limited and Baader Helvea Inc., and the Swiss entity is now headquartered in Zurich. Uto Baader founded the parent bank at the Munich Stock Exchange in 1983.

Research philosophy
We strive to pinpoint companies whose managements are likely to generate superior returns for shareholders.
Helvea combined company analysis with regular contact with senior management at Swiss companies and their European and US competitors, while also examining industry trends. Before its sale to Baader, it said that having no corporate finance or market-making business allowed it to remain impartial.
