The firm is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and a state-registered investment adviser with offices in New Jersey, New York and California, and in September 2016 it added an asset-management arm that launched a long/short healthcare fund.

We are driven by the imperative to identify and bring investor attention to the most important, potentially disruptive scientific discovery and development occurring today.
In 2009, WBB described selecting companies based on their technology, the medical need they addressed, management quality and financial resources. Its research sought undervalued businesses with promising technology, companies approaching scientific or commercial breakthroughs, and overvalued stocks that warranted caution. As of 2026, the firm says its work aims both to inform institutional investment decisions and to support the development of important medical science.
