Profile
Supplies airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels and related components to vehicle manufacturers around the world. A single reportable segment is focused on passive safety, with mobility-safety solutions alongside its core portfolio.
Designs, manufactures and markets protective systems for global vehicle manufacturers. The single reportable segment includes airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels and related components; the portfolio also includes mobility-safety solutions.
Built from a Swedish seatbelt lineage, the current company was formed in 1997 through the merger of Autoliv AB and Morton International’s Automotive Safety Products division. Acquisitions and joint ventures later expanded the organization across Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan and China.
Headquartered in Sweden, the business operates internationally. The separation of the electronics business into Veoneer left the reported business concentrated on passive safety.
