Profile

Broadcom Inc.AVGOInformation Technology

Sells custom AI accelerators, Ethernet networking, wireless, storage and broadband chips alongside VMware private-cloud, mainframe, cybersecurity and enterprise software. Revenue spans two sizable segments, while semiconductor production and sales depend on outside foundries, distributors and a concentrated customer base.

Designs and supplies semiconductor solutions for AI and enterprise data centers, networking, wireless devices, servers, storage, broadband and industrial equipment. Infrastructure Software spans VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud, mainframe tools, Symantec cybersecurity, enterprise software and Fibre Channel storage-area networking.

Combines high-performance chip design and system integration with long-running customer co-development, while maintaining engineering teams across the United States, Asia and Europe. Software revenue comes from licenses, subscriptions, support and professional services sold largely to complex enterprises and governments.

Outsources most wafer fabrication and assembly, with TSMC among its key manufacturing partners, and manufactures and sources most products in Asia. Revenue depends on a relatively small set of customers and distributors.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
