Profile

Avnet, Inc.AVTInformation Technology

Distribution of electronic components and lifecycle services anchors the higher-volume Electronic Components group, while Farnell serves lower-volume engineers through e-commerce. A broad supplier line card and regional operations support a one-stop procurement role.

Electronic Components markets and distributes semiconductors, interconnect, passive and electromechanical components, plus other integrated and embedded products to high- and medium-volume customers. It pairs distribution with design, supply-chain, programming, logistics, and post-sales services for industrial, automotive, defense, and aerospace markets.

Farnell sells kits, tools, electronic and industrial-automation components, and test-and-measurement products to lower-volume engineers and entrepreneurs, primarily through e-commerce. Both groups operate across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia.

Supplier relationships, product availability, and a broad line card support customers that consolidate most or all of their component purchases with one distributor. Price, product selection, and availability shape the business.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
