Profile

BETA Technologies, Inc.BETAIndustrials

Designs electric conventional- and vertical-takeoff aircraft for cargo, medical, passenger, and defense missions, while selling propulsion, flight-control, and charging systems to outside customers. A vertically integrated platform links aircraft sales to components, infrastructure, replacement batteries, and aftermarket services, but civil commercialization still depends on FAA certification.

Designs and manufactures the ALIA CX300 conventional-takeoff electric aircraft and ALIA A250 vertical-takeoff model for cargo, medical, passenger, and defense missions. The MV250 extends the platform into hybrid-electric, autonomous military logistics. In-house batteries, H500-series motors, flight controls, and charging equipment support the aircraft and are also sold to other aerospace and defense manufacturers.

Uses a common, vertically integrated architecture across aircraft, propulsion, and ground systems, pairing Vermont engineering and final assembly with operational flying across North America and overseas. The charging footprint reached 138 sites by June 2026, while product and engineering-service work generate revenue ahead of certified civil aircraft deliveries.

Neither civil ALIA variant had FAA type certification as of the latest update; commercialization remains tied to certification and production scaling. Founder-CEO Kyle Clark controls voting power through the dual-class share structure.
