Profile
Uses plant-cell cultivation to make plant-based compounds without growing the underlying plant. Its Products business sells VINIA, while CDMO Services applies the same Botanical Synthesis platform for industry partners.
Botanical Synthesis grows plant cells to develop plant-based compounds without cultivating the source plant. The platform supports proprietary direct-to-consumer products and CDMO Services for industry partners.
VINIA, a red-grape-cell polyphenol nutraceutical, is the first proprietary commercial product. CDMO Services extends the same process to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, and nutrition applications.
Founded in Israel in 2007, the operating business is paired with a Canadian public parent and a Nasdaq listing. Registered in Vancouver with a principal operating base in Rehovot, Israel, operations are led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Zaki Rakib.
The two routes depend on continued product commercialization and the ability to win and execute CDMO development agreements.
