Profile

Baytex Energy Corp.BTEEnergy

Produces crude oil and natural gas liquids from the Viking, Duvernay, Peace River, and Lloydminster areas. The portfolio became focused on Western Canada after the sale of Eagle Ford operations.

Produces light oil from Viking and Duvernay and heavy oil from Peace River and Lloydminster in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The portfolio also yields natural gas liquids, while crude oil and NGLs account for most production. Light-oil and heavy-oil assets make up the Canadian portfolio following the Eagle Ford disposition. These areas span distinct oil types and operating regions.

Long-established operating teams develop and operate these oil assets. Past operations have been affected by commodity-price volatility and temporary wildfire-related curtailments. Field operations, commodity prices, and reserve and asset valuation assumptions shape the business.
