Profile
Supplies reinforcing carbons and engineered elastomer composites to tire and industrial-rubber producers, while selling specialty carbons, compounds, battery materials, fumed metal oxides, aerogel and inkjet products into diversified industrial markets. A global manufacturing network supports both segments, with results tied heavily to tire demand, feedstock costs and major tire customers.
Produces reinforcing carbons and engineered elastomer composites for tires and industrial rubber through Reinforcement Materials. Performance Chemicals supplies specialty carbons, masterbatches and conductive compounds, battery materials, fumed metal oxides, aerogel and inkjet products for plastics, coatings, electronics, construction, energy storage and printing.
Combines controlled particle production, application development and a regional manufacturing network to tailor reinforcement, conductivity, color and other properties. Operations span the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with most sales outside the United States. A recently acquired Mexican plant expanded reinforcing-carbon capacity and supply flexibility.
Demand depends heavily on tire production and replacement cycles and a concentrated group of major tire customers. Manufacturing relies on petroleum- and coal-derived feedstocks, natural gas and energy; specialty volumes track batteries, electronics, construction and consumer products.

Ownership
A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
