Profile

Capstone Energy+, Inc.CEPLIndustrials

Produces and rents oil-free microturbine systems for on-site power and heat recovery, pairing equipment sales with parts, service and maintenance revenue. Distribution relies chiefly on independent distributors and OEMs, while the business reports as one segment.

Designs, manufactures, sells and rents oil-free microturbine energy systems that turn gaseous fuels into behind-the-meter electricity and recoverable heat. Its Product and Accessories, Parts and Service, and Rentals revenue groups serve sites needing combined heat and power, microgrids, critical power, renewable- and waste-gas generation, and natural-resources applications. Equipment sales are paired with parts, OEM service, Factory Protection Plans and Long-Term Maintenance Agreements, while Energy-as-a-Service structures include owned rentals and Build-Own-Operate-Maintain arrangements.

Reaches customers through direct sales, independent authorized distributors and OEM partners; the distributor network remains the principal channel despite a directly operated western U.S. territory. Operations, manufacturing, assembly, testing and R&D are concentrated in Van Nuys, while a U.K. remanufacturing facility supports Europe. Economics depend on fuel and grid-power costs, recovered-heat value, emissions rules, incentives and utility interconnection charges. The business operates as one reportable segment.
