Profile
Provides senior-secured loans to U.S. middle-market companies through an externally managed business development company. First-lien lending is central, alongside unitranche, second-lien and selected other private-credit investments.
Senior-secured loans sit at the core of the investment portfolio. Unitranche and second-lien loans, collateralized securities, structured-product equity and unsecured debt supplement that exposure.
Investment activity focuses on U.S. middle-market companies, supporting growth capital, expansion, recapitalizations, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and refinancings. CION Investment Management externally manages the vehicle and is affiliated with the broader CION Investments platform.
First-lien lending is the strategy's core posture, supplemented by selective higher-return and special-situations positions. Private-credit investment selection relies on the manager's sourcing process. The advisory relationship, underwriting and capital deployment shape the business.
