Profile

3D Systems CorporationDDDInformation Technology

Sells stereolithography, laser-sintering, and metal 3D printers alongside proprietary photopolymer resins, print-prep software, and services, split between an Industrial Solutions segment serving aerospace-defense, automotive, and jewelry manufacturers and a Healthcare Solutions segment built around virtual surgical planning and NextDent dental systems.

Manufactures a multi-technology hardware fleet spanning stereolithography (including the Figure 4 photopolymer platform), selective laser sintering, multi-jet and pellet extrusion, and direct metal printing, paired with proprietary Accura resins, metal powders, and 3D Sprint print-preparation software.

Healthcare Solutions centers on virtual surgical planning, NextDent dental systems, and a regenerative-medicine partnership with United Therapeutics; Industrial Solutions serves aerospace and defense, automotive, jewelry, semiconductor, and oil-and-gas customers. Most employees are based in the Americas, with a smaller presence spread across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Recent momentum concentrates in aerospace-and-defense metal printing and in personalized health services, now the largest line within healthcare, alongside expanded regulatory clearance for orthopedic surgical planning.

A multi-year cost-reduction and balance-sheet-repair program continues alongside declining industrial demand, and outstanding convertible notes have driven repeated share issuance.
