Profile

Electronic Arts Inc.EACommunication Services

Electronic Arts publishes video games in two divisions: EA Sports, which holds the EA Sports FC football franchise and Madden NFL, and EA Entertainment, home to Apex Legends and The Sims; most revenue comes from live-service content and subscriptions. In September 2025 the company agreed to be taken private by a PIF-led consortium, with closing expected by mid-2026.

Electronic Arts develops and publishes video games across console, PC, and mobile platforms, organized since 2023 into two divisions: EA Sports, which holds the EA Sports FC global football franchise and Madden NFL, and EA Entertainment, which houses Apex Legends, The Sims, Battlefield, and a catalog of additional titles. The company earns most of its revenue through live-service mechanics — in-game purchases, seasonal content, and subscription tiers under the EA Play brand — layered atop full-game and mobile titles.

Founded in San Mateo, California in 1982, EA listed on NASDAQ and spent over three decades building its library primarily through studio acquisitions. In September 2025, EA signed an agreement to be acquired and taken private by a consortium led by the Public Investment Fund alongside Silver Lake and Affinity Partners, with shareholder approval secured in December 2025 and closing expected by June 30, 2026, pending regulatory clearance.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
