Profile
Sells children's books, educational toys and learning tools through its PaperPie brand-partner network and a wholesale publishing channel. The direct-selling operation brings the same portfolio to homes, schools and events, while Publishing serves retail accounts.
Operates PaperPie, a commissioned direct-selling network where independent brand partners sell Usborne children's books alongside Kane Miller titles, Learning Wrap-Ups and SmartLab Toys through e-commerce storefronts, social and in-person parties, book fairs, fundraisers and community events.
Supplies Kane Miller books, Learning Wrap-Ups and SmartLab Toys through the Publishing trade operation to bookstores, specialty toy and gift shops, distributors and other retailers. The United States is the commercial center, although selected product lines have foreign sales.
Relies on recruiting and retaining brand partners, a catalog of physical learning products, and product availability from Usborne and other suppliers. Usborne's distribution agreement governs the direct-sales relationship and includes purchase obligations, while printing and replenishment have multi-month lead times.
