Builds and recommissions a permitted hydrometallurgical refinery near North Cobalt, Ontario, intended to produce battery-grade cobalt sulfate for lithium-ion battery supply chains. The complex was under construction in the latest company update and had not begun commercial production.
Black-mass recycling is an adjacent development project. A plant-scale trial recovered nickel, cobalt, manganese, copper, lithium, and graphite, while feasibility-level engineering has been completed for a modular facility beside the refinery.
Nickel refining, other downstream battery-materials projects, and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project in Idaho are development options rather than commercial product lines. The refinery program depends on construction completion, feedstock, contractors, regulatory approvals, and capital availability.
