Electro-Sensors (ELSE)

Electro-Sensors, Inc. is a Minnetonka, Minnesota company founded in 1968 that builds monitoring and control products for industrial equipment. Its portfolio includes shaft speed sensors and switches, tachometers, production-rate counters, bearing and motor temperature sensors, belt alignment devices, slide gate and valve position monitors, vibration monitors, tilt switches, motor drive controls, and integrated hazard monitoring systems sold under Electro-Sentry and HazardPRO.

The systems help plant operators detect slowdowns, stoppages, overheating, misalignment, vibration, and other operating conditions in material-handling and processing environments. Customers include grain, feed, milling, bulk-materials, manufacturing, food-products, ethanol, power-generation, and other processing businesses, reached through an internal sales team, manufacturer representatives, and distributors. In April 2026, Electro-Sensors said it had agreed to be acquired by steute Technologies, so its public-company status depends on whether that transaction closes.
