Profile

Greif, Inc.GEFMaterials

Manufactures steel, plastic, and fiber industrial packaging, including drums, intermediate bulk containers, tubes, cores, and closure systems, and earns service revenue from reconditioning and logistics. Product-based businesses serve a broad global customer base, while demand tracks industrial activity.

Manufactures industrial packaging across product-based businesses: Customized Polymer Solutions makes plastic drums, rigid intermediate bulk containers, and small plastic containers; Durable Metal Solutions centers on steel drums; Sustainable Fiber Solutions supplies fiber drums, recycled paperboard, tubes, cores, and specialty partitions; and Innovative Closure Solutions sells closure systems. Reconditioning, container life-cycle management, logistics, and warehousing extend the offering beyond new containers.

Serves chemical, food and beverage, agricultural, pharmaceutical, petroleum, coatings, construction, automotive, and other industrial customers in more than 35 countries, with roughly half of sales generated outside the United States. The sale of the containerboard business narrowed the portfolio while retaining recycled-paperboard and industrial fiber products. Demand follows industrial activity, raw-material costs are cyclical, and manufacturing is subject to environmental and workplace-safety regulation; no single customer is principal.
