Profile
A majority-owned Beijing subsidiary generates nearly all revenue selling pirfenidone-based and related therapies for lung and liver conditions across Chinese hospitals and pharmacies, while a separate San Diego unit develops hydronidone for liver fibrosis and, following a 2026 acquisition, an early-stage protein-degradation drug platform. A Japanese parent holds voting control.
A majority-owned Beijing subsidiary sells an established pirfenidone therapy for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis through Chinese hospitals and pharmacies, joined in 2025 by a nintedanib antifibrotic and a drug for liver-disease-related low platelet counts. This subsidiary generates nearly all revenue, funding a separate San Diego development unit.
That unit is advancing hydronidone, a pirfenidone derivative, toward conditional approval in China for hepatitis-B-related liver fibrosis, with a US study in fatty-liver fibrosis planned next. A 2026 stock acquisition of Cullgen added a protein-degradation drug-discovery platform and early-stage oncology candidates.
Voting control rests with a Japanese parent holding a large majority of common shares, a structure dating to the 2023 reverse merger that combined a dormant Nasdaq shell with the Beijing drugmaker under the current name. Two reportable segments track this same China-commercial, US-development split.
