Develops cannabinoid-receptor small-molecule candidates for Alzheimer's disease, dry AMD, and epidermolysis bullosa-related itch. With its commercial cannabinoid operation winding down, the stand-alone business has no continuing product-sales engine and relies on development, partnering, and financing.
Develops cannabinoid-receptor small molecules for Alzheimer's disease, dry age-related macular degeneration, and epidermolysis bullosa-related itch. The stand-alone pipeline spans a preclinical oral candidate for Alzheimer's, a preclinical intravitreal candidate for dry AMD, and a topical candidate for EB-related itch whose further development is contingent on a partner.
Operates from Vancouver with a small internal team, outsourcing most research and development to scientific collaborators, academic institutions, contract research organizations, and contract development and manufacturing organizations. BayMedica, formerly the sole revenue-generating commercial operation, is being wound down, leaving no current continuing product-sales engine.
Drug programs have no approvals and depend on development, regulatory review, external financing, and commercialization partnerships. A pending Mentari combination would transfer management and future development focus if its closing conditions are met; until then, the stand-alone business remains a cannabinoid-drug developer.
