Marine Transportation carries petrochemicals, black oil, refined petroleum products, and agricultural chemicals across US waterways and coasts. Distribution and Services sells parts, engines, power systems, and industrial equipment service to marine, commercial, and oil-and-gas customers.

Marine Transportation moves liquid-bulk cargoes by tank barge across the Mississippi River System, Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, US coasts, Alaska, and Hawaii. Its cargoes include petrochemicals, black oil, refined petroleum products, and agricultural chemicals. Operations are concentrated in the United States.

Distribution and Services provides service, parts, engines, transmissions, power systems, and industrial equipment for marine, on-highway, power-generation, commercial and industrial, and oil-and-gas customers. The operating model depends on US liquid-bulk freight activity and on maintaining barges, towboats, engines, power equipment, and service facilities. Marine operations work within the Jones Act domestic market.
