Profile
Manages public and private debt investments and reinsures annuity liabilities through Ability Insurance Company. Its U.S.-focused business combines fee-generating asset management with insurance capital and relies on BC Partners Advisors for personnel and administrative support.
Operates two segments: Asset Management, its fee-generating credit-investment business through Mount Logan Management LLC, and Insurance Solutions, conducted through Nebraska-domiciled Ability Insurance Company. Its investment focus is public and private debt securities in North America, while the insurance business reinsures annuity liabilities.
Formed as the current operating business in 2018, the platform became a Nasdaq-listed U.S. public company following its September 2025 combination with 180 Degree Capital. It has no direct employees and receives management and administrative resources from BC Partners Advisors L.P. under a staffing and resource agreement. Continued access to that personnel and support is a disclosed operating dependency.
