Profile
Develops the TAEUS Liver system, which pairs radio-frequency thermoacoustics with conventional ultrasound to estimate liver fat for metabolic-disease assessment and clinical-trial screening. Its current business remains pre-revenue and dependent on regulatory authorization, resources, external partners, and a pending merger.
Develops the TAEUS platform, which combines pulsed radio-frequency energy, ultrasound sensors, and proprietary algorithms to assess tissue composition. Its lead TAEUS Liver/FLIP device is designed to work beside conventional ultrasound to estimate liver fat for metabolic-disease assessment, therapy-response monitoring, and clinical-trial screening. Other uses, including temperature monitoring, vascular imaging, and perfusion analysis, remain in development.
Plans subscription arrangements, capital-equipment sales with service and upgrades, and potential licensing to ultrasound or thermoablation equipment makers, subject to regulatory approval and resources. U.S. FDA marketing authorization and EU MDR recertification remain requirements; a pending merger could change the business focus.
