Profile

Neogen CorporationNEOGHealth Care

Sells food and feed testing consumables, culture media, hygiene-monitoring systems, instruments, and analytics software, alongside veterinary, diagnostic, and pest-control products. Food Safety generates most revenue, international customers contribute slightly more than half of sales, and the global genomics-services business is under agreement to be sold.

Develops and manufactures food and animal safety products through two reporting segments. Food Safety supplies mostly single-use tests, culture media, hygiene-monitoring systems, instruments, and analytics software for detecting pathogens, spoilage organisms, allergens, natural toxins, and sanitation failures. Animal Safety sells veterinary instruments and disposables, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, parasiticides, diagnostics, and rodent and insect control products, while its global genomics-services business remains under agreement to be sold to Zoetis.

Generates most revenue from Food Safety and slightly more than half of sales outside the United States. Its recurring workflow pairs proprietary assays and consumables with readers, software, training, and technical support. Operations depend on regulated product approvals and validations, third-party instrument suppliers, and completion of the Petrifilm manufacturing transfer from 3M to Lansing.
