Profile

Universal Display CorporationOLEDInformation Technology

Licenses protected OLED technologies and sells UniversalPHOLED emissive and complementary host materials to display-panel makers. Material sales and royalties drive the model, while Adesis provides contract research services.

Supplies UniversalPHOLED phosphorescent-emissive and complementary host materials, and licenses OLED technologies covering molecular structures, devices, architectures and manufacturing processes. It operates one reportable segment, OLED technologies and materials, rather than making finished panels or consumer devices.

Material sales, royalty and license fees, and Adesis contract research services are its commercial lines. UDC Ireland conducts the materials business outside the United States, serving a customer set centered on OLED panel makers.

Research, patenting, materials manufacturing, and technology commercialization link the model. Almost all material-sales revenue is set through technology-license and material-supply agreements; continued demand depends on OLED panel makers using its protected technologies and materials.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
