Profile

Otis Worldwide CorporationOTISIndustrials

Designs and installs elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, then earns recurring revenue by maintaining, repairing, and modernizing its own and competitors’ equipment. Service supplies most sales and nearly all segment profit, supported by a global maintenance portfolio.

Runs two businesses worldwide. New Equipment designs, manufactures, sells, and installs passenger and freight elevators, escalators, and moving walkways for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Service maintains, repairs, and modernizes Otis and competing manufacturers’ equipment.

A dense local network of mechanics, branches, parts centers, and remote monitoring supports contract renewal and conversion of new installations into maintenance accounts. Otis ONE adds real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance to connected equipment, while the global maintenance portfolio creates recurring repair and modernization work.

Service provides most sales and nearly all segment operating profit, while international operations account for most revenue. New-equipment demand remains exposed to construction cycles, particularly China, and both installation and maintenance must satisfy local licensing, building, and elevator-safety codes.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
