Invests in US middle-market companies through first-lien, second-lien and subordinated debt, with a smaller allocation to equity. The portfolio is executed through a publicly traded business development company structure rather than a conventional operating business.
PennantPark Investment Advisers manages operations and provides investment-advisory services under an Investment Management Agreement, subject to board oversight. The issuer itself reported no employees, with relevant professionals hired by its adviser and administrator.
Elected BDC treatment under the Investment Company Act and RIC treatment for federal tax purposes shape its operating and tax framework. Its common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
