Develops sustained-release drug-delivery candidates alongside DeepSolar software for solar-asset monitoring, forecasting and optimization. The asset-light model relies on external clinical and manufacturing partners, with no approved pharmaceutical product and an early solar business.
Operates Clinical Development and Solar segments. Clinical Development includes LayerBio's OcuRing platform, led by OcuRing-K, a bio-erodible ring designed to deliver ketorolac locally after cataract surgery, and PRF-110, an investigational extended-release ropivacaine solution for surgical wounds. OcuRing-K was preparing for its next clinical trial, while PRF-110 was de-emphasized after missing its pivotal endpoint.
DeepSolar connects with SCADA systems to monitor solar assets, compare potential with actual production, diagnose equipment issues, prioritize maintenance and automate reporting. Its early commercial engagements include Romania and Israel, while its pharmaceutical candidates target United States regulatory pathways. Neither drug candidate is approved, and clinical development and prospective commercial manufacturing depend on third-party partners.
