Profile

PriceSmart, Inc.PSMTConsumer Staples

Sells groceries, fresh food, general merchandise, and selected health services through membership warehouse clubs across Central America, the Caribbean, and Colombia. Merchandise sales drive revenue, while annual membership fees reinforce a limited-assortment, large-pack model built for households and businesses.

Operates membership warehouse clubs across Central America, the Caribbean, and Colombia, serving households and businesses with consumables, fresh food, hardlines, softlines, prepared food, bakery, and selected optical, pharmacy, and audiology services. Merchandise sales provide most revenue, while annual memberships support the low-margin club model and online ordering extends it to pickup and delivery.

A limited assortment, large pack sizes, and regional distribution network keep stocking and operating costs lean. Local buying teams balance regionally sourced goods with imports, including Member's Selection private-label products, for markets that differ in tastes, regulations, and logistics.

Nearly all revenue comes from international operations. Results therefore depend on local currencies, customs and product rules, reliable ocean and overland supply chains, and the ability to secure permitted sites as the club network expands.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
