Profile
Sells short-haul, point-to-point passenger flights across Europe through five airlines, with separately priced ancillary services adding revenue beyond the base fare. Direct digital distribution, high aircraft utilization, selective airport economics and fleet commonality support low fares, while operations depend on aircraft supply, fuel, labor, airport capacity and regulation.
Operates a five-airline group—Buzz, Lauda Europe, Malta Air, Ryanair DAC and Ryanair UK—focused on short-haul, point-to-point passenger travel across Europe. Scheduled fares are supplemented by separately priced ancillary services sold through direct digital channels.
Keeps fares low through high aircraft utilization, rapid turnarounds, fleet commonality in the principal Boeing operation, selective airport economics and continuous cost control. The model stimulates traffic and spreads the operating platform across more passengers.
Execution depends on aircraft availability and Boeing deliveries, fuel and hedging, airport and air-traffic-control capacity, labor relations, cybersecurity, and aviation and consumer regulation. The group also operates an Airbus fleet through Lauda, so its fleet is not uniform across every airline.
