Builds value-oriented new homes for entry-level and empty-nest buyers across the Southeastern and Southern United States. A land-light, option-based approach to lot control underpins the operating model.
Entered Texas by acquiring the assets of Houston-based Devon Street Homes, and later recorded expansions to Chattanooga, Gulf Shores, and Dallas–Fort Worth. The company links its disciplined operating philosophy and SMART Builder ERP system to the earlier work of founder Tom Bradbury and CEO Gregory S. Bennett at Colony Homes.
Founded in Atlanta in 2008, the operating business predates the Delaware public holding company formed in 2023 for the IPO. Smith Douglas Homes Corp. is the sole managing member of Smith Douglas Holdings LLC, which conducts the homebuilding operations.
