Develops and manufactures the Eversense 365 continuous glucose-monitoring system, an implantable product cleared by the FDA for use in adults with diabetes. The technology evolved from earlier Eversense sensors with shorter approved wear periods.
Senseonics took direct responsibility for U.S. sales, marketing, and distribution in January 2026, supported by its own sales force. Ascensia previously held worldwide distribution rights and now has non-exclusive rights in specified European territories.
Direct commercialization changed the U.S. operating model. The product's permitted U.S. use is defined by FDA clearances, while Ascensia's European distribution scope follows the agreement.
