Profile

Teledyne Technologies IncorporatedTDYInformation Technology

Supplies imaging sensors and cameras, marine and environmental instruments, electronic test equipment, aerospace and defense electronics, and engineered systems. Digital Imaging generates roughly half of sales, while customers span commercial and government markets worldwide.

Designs sensors, cameras and imaging systems across visible, infrared, ultraviolet and X-ray spectra, alongside high-reliability semiconductors and unmanned systems. Digital Imaging is the largest of four segments; Instrumentation adds marine, environmental and electronic test equipment.

Aerospace and Defense Electronics supplies optical and electronic components, avionics, interconnects and satellite communications, while Engineered Systems handles integration, advanced development and manufacturing for defense, space, environmental and energy programs. Product development, an applied research center and the rapid integration of acquired businesses extend its specialized technology portfolio.

Operations are concentrated in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Western and Northern Europe, with customers across industrial, scientific, medical, aerospace, defense and government markets. Roughly half of sales come from outside the United States, while U.S. government customers account for about a quarter.
