Profile

Visa Inc.VFinancials

Processes consumer, commercial and cross-border payments, earning fees from network services, transaction processing, currency conversion and value-added tools. Banks issue the cards and carry cardholder credit risk, while the network connects participants across a geographically broad acceptance footprint.

Connects consumers, merchants, financial institutions and governments through VisaNet, which authorizes, clears and settles digital payments in more than 200 countries and territories. Revenue comes from services tied to payment volume, transaction processing, cross-border activity and currency conversion, plus licensing and other fees.

Extends beyond consumer credit, debit and prepaid credentials through Commercial and Money Movement Solutions, including Visa Direct and commercial cards, and Value-Added Services for issuing, acceptance, fraud prevention, security and advisory work. The same network connectivity and transaction data support both core payments and these adjacent services.

Most revenue is earned outside the United States. Banks and other clients issue cards, set account terms and carry cardholder credit risk; operations depend on their participation and on merchants accepting its credentials. Interchange, routing, data-localization and domestic-processing rules shape where and how the network operates.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
