Develops wave-conversion equipment designed to turn ocean and sea waves into electricity. Its systems operate onshore or nearshore and connect to existing coastal infrastructure, including breakwaters and port structures.
The operating company was co-founded in Tel Aviv in 2011 by Inna Braverman and David Leb. Braverman remains CEO, while the Swedish public parent’s American depositary shares trade on Nasdaq.
Projects include grid-connected sites in Gibraltar and Israel, an onshore pilot at the Port of Los Angeles, and a planned Porto installation in Portugal. Israel and Los Angeles are pilot-scale demonstrations, while Portugal is the first planned megawatt-scale European project. Porto’s timing depends on a structural assessment and any repairs to its host breakwater following storm damage.
