Profile

AbbVie Inc.ABBVHealth Care

Develops and sells medicines across immunology, neuroscience, oncology, and eye care, plus Botox Cosmetic and other aesthetics products. Skyrizi and Rinvoq now generate roughly half of revenue, making regulatory approvals, market access, and product exclusivity central to the business.

Develops, manufactures, and commercializes prescription medicines across immunology, neuroscience, oncology, and eye care, alongside Allergan Aesthetics products. Skyrizi and Rinvoq anchor immunology; Vraylar, Botox Therapeutic, Ubrelvy, and Qulipta serve neuroscience; Imbruvica, Venclexta, and Elahere cover blood and solid cancers; Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm lead aesthetics. Products are sold worldwide, with the United States generating most revenue.

Pairs internal research with licensing and acquisitions, then uses a global supply chain and commercial network to launch medicines and expand approved uses. Skyrizi and Rinvoq together produce roughly half of recent revenue as Humira declines after biosimilar entry. Sales depend on clinical and regulatory approvals, patent and regulatory exclusivity, payer reimbursement, and access through wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
