Profile

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.AMDInformation Technology

Designs EPYC server CPUs, Instinct AI accelerators, Ryzen PC processors, Radeon graphics, and adaptive chips for data centers, client and gaming devices, and embedded systems. Revenue comes from products and development services across three segments, while all wafer fabrication is outsourced.

Designs high-performance and adaptive computing products across three segments. Data Center includes EPYC server CPUs, Instinct AI accelerators, Pensando networking, FPGAs, and adaptive SoCs. Client and Gaming supplies Ryzen processors, Radeon graphics, and semi-custom console chips; Embedded serves industrial, automotive, communications, aerospace, and other edge applications.

Combines CPU and GPU roadmaps with adaptive-computing, networking, and rack-scale systems expertise. Sales are global, with most billed outside the United States to cloud operators, computer and server makers, game-console partners, and embedded-equipment vendors.

Relies on outside foundries for every wafer and Asian partners for most assembly and testing. TSMC supplies all advanced-node microprocessor and GPU wafers; export controls restrict some data-center accelerators, and a small customer group accounts for a substantial share of business.
