Profile

Avery Dennison CorporationAVYMaterials

Sells pressure-sensitive label and graphics materials, performance tapes, RFID inlays, apparel branding, and retail information solutions through Materials Group and Solutions Group. Most revenue comes from outside the United States, linking a global manufacturing footprint with item-level identification software.

Designs and manufactures pressure-sensitive label materials, graphic and reflective films, functional bonding tapes, RFID inlays and tags, and software that links physical items to digital records. Materials Group sells label, graphics, reflective, and performance-tape products, largely through converters; Solutions Group supplies apparel branding, item-level identification, data management, and Vestcom shelf-edge pricing and media tools.

Combines expertise in adhesives, coating, laminating, printing, and process engineering with a global manufacturing and distribution network. Most sales originate outside the United States, across operations in more than 50 countries. Demand spans consumer packaging, apparel, retail, logistics, food, pharmaceuticals, automotive, construction, and electronics. The business relies on paper, plastic films, resins, and specialty chemicals whose costs can fluctuate, while solvent-based production is subject to environmental controls.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
