Profile

Banner CorporationBANRFinancials

Operates Banner Bank across four western states, taking deposits and providing commercial real estate, business, agricultural, residential and consumer loans, plus treasury and merchant services. Earnings are driven mainly by lending spreads, with a deposit-funded balance sheet concentrated in real-estate-secured and business credit.

Operates Banner Bank, a Washington-chartered commercial bank serving individuals, businesses and public-sector clients. Branches in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho gather deposits, while loan-production offices extend commercial coverage into Utah and Nevada.

Earns primarily from the spread between interest on loans and securities and the cost of deposits and borrowings. Lending spans commercial real estate, multifamily and construction projects; small and midsize businesses and farms; residential mortgages; and consumer credit. Mortgage sales and servicing, deposit fees, cards, and treasury and merchant services add fee income.

Combines local relationship banking with centralized credit, technology and risk controls in its “super community bank” model. The approved acquisition of Bank of the Pacific’s parent is awaiting closing. The balance sheet remains concentrated in real-estate-secured and business credit, funded mainly by client deposits and governed by federal and state banking rules.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
