Profile

Beacon Financial Corp.BBTFinancials

Provides deposits, commercial and residential lending, cash management, wealth advice, equipment finance, and SBA lending through a Northeast regional bank and national specialty businesses. Most revenue comes from banking spreads, with commercial real estate forming the largest loan category.

Operates Beacon Bank across New England and New York, gathering commercial, municipal, and retail deposits and making commercial real estate, business, residential, and consumer loans. Cash management, foreign exchange, digital banking, trust, and investment advisory services extend those customer relationships.

Combines a regional branch franchise with national specialty lending: Eastern Funding provides equipment financing, 44 Business Capital originates SBA loans, and Clarendon Private serves private-wealth clients. The legacy banks now share one brand and core system after the Berkshire Hills–Brookline merger.

Earns primarily from the spread between interest received on loans and investments and interest paid on deposits and borrowings. Commercial real estate is the largest loan category, concentrating credit exposure in property markets, while deposit funding, interest rates, and bank-capital rules shape results.
