Profile
Operates Peruvian precious- and base-metals mines and develops projects such as San Gabriel, while holding a material stake in the Cerro Verde copper mine. The portfolio combines directly controlled operations with affiliate interests, and continuity depends on ore economics, permits, water access and community arrangements.
Explores, develops and operates precious- and base-metals mines in Peru, with direct assets including Orcopampa, Julcani, Uchucchacua-Yumpag and the ramping San Gabriel project. The portfolio also includes La Zanja and a material affiliate interest in the Cerro Verde copper mine.
Combines long-lived mine operations with selective partnership holdings and direct project development. Capital from the former Yanacocha stake and other disposals has been redirected toward controlled projects, while the New York-traded ADSs sit over a Peruvian operating and share-capital base.
Operating continuity depends on ore grades, capital needs, permits, water access and community arrangements. Uchucchacua's suspension and later restart show how those conditions interact, while San Gabriel secured its last key initial operating approval during ramp-up.
