Profile

BorgWarner Inc.BWAConsumer Discretionary

Supplies vehicle manufacturers with turbocharging, drivetrain, thermal, emissions and electrified-propulsion systems. Revenue comes from component and systems programs across combustion, hybrid and electric platforms, with an acquisition-built portfolio operating across Europe, Asia and the Americas and still balancing legacy propulsion with newer electric technologies.

Supplies vehicle manufacturers with propulsion and drivetrain technologies spanning combustion, hybrid and electric platforms. The portfolio covers turbocharging, thermal and emissions systems, chains and clutches, electric motors, inverters, integrated drive modules, battery systems, charging equipment and software.

Operates across Europe, Asia and the Americas, combining product development with acquisitions to add specialized capabilities. A decentralized operating model supports integration and manufacturing execution, while the Delphi Technologies and AKASOL deals broadened power electronics and commercial-vehicle battery offerings.

Carries a century-scale mechanical heritage while shifting the portfolio toward electrified propulsion. The business remains dependent on vehicle-manufacturer programs and a mixed technology cycle; combustion-derived products still fund the transition, and acquired electrification assets have required valuation adjustments. Fuel Systems and Aftermarket belong to PHINIA after the 2023 spin-off.
