Profile

Citigroup Inc.CFinancials

Provides cash management, custody, markets, investment and corporate banking, wealth management, U.S. retail banking and consumer cards. A cross-border institutional network links the businesses, while consumer activity is centered on U.S. cards and deposits after international retail exits.

Connects multinational companies, financial institutions and governments to cash management, payments, trade finance and securities custody through Services, while Markets provides fixed-income and equity trading, market-making, financing and prime brokerage. Banking adds corporate lending, capital-markets underwriting and merger advice across a network operating in nearly 160 countries and jurisdictions.

Serves affluent and high-net-worth clients through Wealth, now including U.S. retail banking and deposits, while U.S. Consumer Cards combines proprietary, co-branded and private-label cards with installment lending. The cross-border network links client cash flows, risk hedging, financing and wealth needs across businesses.

Operates under bank capital, liquidity and risk-management requirements and continues a multiyear controls and data overhaul under Federal Reserve and OCC consent orders. Significant acquisitions by Citibank require prior OCC approval.
