Profile
Sells refrigerants and thermal-management fluids, Ti-Pure titanium dioxide pigment, and Teflon, Viton, Nafion, and Krytox fluoromaterials through three global segments. Demand and product mix are shaped by cooling regulations, industrial cycles, and legacy environmental obligations shared in part with DuPont and Corteva.
Produces refrigerants and thermal-management fluids, titanium dioxide pigment, and high-performance fluoromaterials through Thermal & Specialized Solutions, Titanium Technologies, and Advanced Performance Materials. Opteon and Freon serve cooling and related uses; Ti-Pure provides whiteness and opacity for coatings, plastics, laminates, and paper; Teflon, Viton, Nafion, and Krytox serve demanding industrial, electronics, transportation, energy, and chemical-processing applications.
Runs a global manufacturing and technical network, with proprietary process chemistry, application development, and reliable production supporting customer-specific performance requirements. The refrigerants portfolio is shifting from Freon products toward lower-global-warming-potential Opteon products as climate regulations phase down hydrofluorocarbons.
Operates under evolving chemicals and emissions rules, while legacy environmental remediation and PFAS liabilities remain partly governed by separation agreements and a cost-sharing arrangement with DuPont and Corteva.
