Profile

Kronos Worldwide, Inc.KROMaterials

Manufactures titanium dioxide pigments and related by-products for coatings, plastics, paper, inks, personal care, and other uses. Sales run through distributors and agents across global markets, with demand tied to pigment pricing, customer operating cycles, energy costs, and raw-material costs.

Manufactures and sells titanium dioxide pigments and related by-products in a single operating segment. KRONOS pigment grades add whiteness, brightness, opacity, and durability to coatings, plastics, paper, packaging inks, cosmetics, pharmaceutical colorants, glass, ceramics, and other applications.

Sales move through distributors and agents to customers across global markets, with most activity in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. Production is anchored in Europe and North America, including full ownership of the Louisiana Pigment operation after the recent joint-venture buyout.

Execution depends on reliable pigment grades, technical service, long-term supply stability, and plant utilization. The business is structurally exposed to titanium dioxide demand, selling prices, energy and raw-material costs, environmental requirements, and concentrated control through Valhi, NL Industries, and Contran.
