Profile

Cohu, Inc.COHUInformation Technology

Sells semiconductor test automation, automated test equipment, inspection and metrology systems, contactors, probe cards, analytics software, and installed-base services to chipmakers and test subcontractors. Recurring interface, spares, software, and service sales complement cyclical capital-equipment demand, with most shipments going outside the United States.

Supplies equipment, interfaces, software, and services used to test and inspect semiconductors at wafer level and after packaging. The portfolio spans test automation and thermal control, automated test equipment, optical and infrared inspection and metrology, contactors and probe cards, and factory analytics.

Serves chip manufacturers, outsourced assembly-and-test providers, and fabless designers across computing, automotive, industrial, mobile, and consumer markets. Precision thermal control, vision inspection, signal integrity, and machine-learning process control support high-volume test cells. Manufacturing is centered in Asia, while local engineering and service teams cover Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States.

Recurring sales of interface products, spares, upgrades, software, and services complement capital-equipment systems and represent most revenue. Demand remains tied to semiconductor-equipment cycles, installed-base utilization, rapid device transitions, export controls, and globally dispersed operations.
