Profile

Teradyne, Inc.TERInformation Technology

Sells automated test systems for semiconductors, wireless products, circuit boards, silicon photonics, and defense electronics, plus collaborative arms and autonomous mobile robots. Semiconductor Test generates most revenue, with sales concentrated at Asian customer sites and among several large customers.

Builds automated test systems and factory robots across Semiconductor Test, Product Test, and Robotics. UltraFLEX, J750, Magnum, and ETS platforms cover system-on-chip, memory, and analog devices from wafer through packaged-device and system-level testing.

Product Test combines LitePoint wireless testing, circuit-board systems, defense and aerospace instruments, Quantifi Photonics tools, and MultiLane Test Products for high-speed data-connection testing. Universal Robots collaborative arms and MiR autonomous mobile robots automate manufacturing, material handling, and warehouse workflows.

Most sales come from customer sites outside the United States, with Asia Pacific dominant. Test-equipment demand is cyclical and concentrated among a limited group of large customers; test manufacturing relies mainly on contractors with significant Malaysian operations, while export controls involving the United States and China can restrict sales.

A 13F quarter can total more than the shares outstanding — sub-advisers file the same block twice, and a filer's own share count can be a quarter stale. No split is drawn from it.
