CPS Technologies CorporationCPSHInformation Technology

Custom metal-matrix components, hybrid-circuit packages, and armor strike faces serve industrial, communications, and defense applications. The business operates as a single advanced-materials segment and sells primarily through component and subassembly assemblers.

Custom metal-matrix composite components serve high-speed rail, mass transit, hybrid and electric vehicles, energy infrastructure, HVDC converter stations, wind turbines, and internet-infrastructure equipment. The company also assembles hybrid-circuit housings and packages using MMCs or conventional aluminum and copper-tungsten materials, and sells armor strike faces to armor manufacturers.

Reported as one advanced-materials segment, its products are sold primarily to assemblers of high-density electronics and other specialty components and subassemblies. Those customers place CPS two to three supply-chain levels from end markets.

Manufacturing and engineering form most of the permanent workforce, while a few large customers account for a substantial part of sales.
