Profile
Sells PALSONIFY, a once-daily oral treatment for acromegaly, while developing paltusotine for carcinoid syndrome and atumelnant for congenital adrenal hyperplasia and ACTH-dependent Cushing's syndrome. Product revenue comes from PALSONIFY, and most other programs remain subject to clinical and regulatory approval.
Develops and commercializes oral small-molecule medicines for endocrine diseases and endocrine-related tumors, using in-house expertise in tailoring compounds to G protein-coupled receptors. PALSONIFY (paltusotine), its first marketed product, is a once-daily oral treatment for adults with acromegaly and is approved in the U.S. and European Union. Paltusotine is also being studied for carcinoid syndrome.
Atumelnant, an oral ACTH receptor antagonist, is in late-stage development for congenital adrenal hyperplasia and ACTH-dependent Cushing's syndrome. CRN09682 applies a nonpeptide drug-conjugate platform to somatostatin-receptor-expressing tumors, while discovery programs pursue other endocrine and metabolic targets.
Product revenue comes from PALSONIFY, manufacturing is outsourced, and most pipeline programs still require clinical and regulatory approval. A definitive agreement calls for Vertex Pharmaceuticals to acquire the business, subject to shareholder, regulatory, and other closing conditions.
