Profile
Converts aluminum into rolled sheet, plate, extrusions, and fabricated structures for aerospace, packaging, automotive, transportation, defense, and industrial customers. Economics center on conversion margins while metal prices are largely passed through or hedged, with operations concentrated in North America and Europe and many core programs governed by multi-year contracts.
Runs three operating segments. Aerospace & Transportation supplies plate, sheet, and extrusions for aerospace, space, defense, commercial transportation, and industry. Packaging & Automotive Rolled Products makes canstock, auto body sheet, heat-exchanger materials, and battery foil. Automotive Structures & Industry produces crash-management systems, body structures, battery enclosures, extrusions, and large profiles.
Converts purchased and recycled aluminum into performance-critical alloys and components, with manufacturing centered in North America and Europe. Alloy development, integrated casting and fabrication, and demanding qualification processes support multi-year contracts across core aerospace, packaging, and automotive programs.
Metal costs are generally passed through or hedged. Earnings depend more on processing volumes, product mix, plant efficiency, energy costs, aircraft and vehicle production, packaging demand, and orders from a concentrated group of major customers.
