One dLocal combines pay-ins and pay-outs through a single API, platform and contract for global enterprise merchants. It manages local payment methods, compliance, foreign exchange and settlement so merchants do not need separate local integrations.
The platform began in Brazil and now operates across emerging markets in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Its merchant interface is standardized while the payments infrastructure is localized country by country. Operations are rooted in Montevideo, while the listed holding company is incorporated in the Cayman Islands. The business depends on local payment rails, compliance processes, foreign-exchange handling and settlement across those markets.
